Meo Bondage Rope and Rope Master Anal Hook Review

I’m going to be reviewing two separate items from the MEO site in this post because they work so damn well together that it’d be a crying shame not too. Also I’m kind of lazy… so that too.

Introducing the Rope Master Anal Hook!

Bondage hooks are something my partner and I have actively shied away from in the past. I mean can you really blame us? Being caught on a hook doesn’t generally sound like a good thing, being caught by a hook inside your rectum sounds worse. Of course we soon came to realise that bondage hooks are built to be fairly comfortable to start with, you know considering they’re made from cold, hard, unforgiving metal.

So it was somewhat of a leap of faith for me to ask for this anal hook for review and an even bigger leap of faith for my partner to actually let me use it on him. It’s arrival soothed most of our reservations. The hook is beautifully contoured, not a sharp edge in sight. Chris stopped picturing himself flopping around, hooked like a fish. The finish is flawless and the size wasn’t enough to send him running. All big positives.

The ball is a mere 3.14“ in circumference and the insertable length of the hook is about 5”. Nothing too scary here either. Once inserted the hook feels pretty comfortable, it’s solidity is certainly not easily forgotten and the ball pushes inescapably on his internal wall. In this way the hook can be fantastically overwhelming despite the simple design. It’s easy to use the longer outer portion to slightly move the inner ball side to side, a motion that has a pretty bemusing effect on a sub. The fun however, is mostly in predicament play, which I believe is why the anal hook was invented in the first place. More on that later.

You absolutely do need a piece of rope or something to make the most of this hook as its almost impossible to keep inserted when upright – the last thing you want in the bedroom when your fleshy bits are out is a falling hunk of metal, trust me. Cleaning is simple, there are no nooks or cracks and the material is completely non-porous.

The Ropemaster Anal hook is 29 Euroes (£24.66 or $30) but there is an option to add three meters of bondage rope for an extra 5.9 euroes (roughly £5 or $6), which is probably worth doing if you’re just going to use simple ties however if you want to do a full body harness you’ll need a lot more rope than that.

Introducing the Meo Bondage Rope!

This Bondage rope is a separate item that can also be found Meo site, I could see the two items would get along just fine in our household so I decided to get both. This is a long length of bright red rope at 10 Meters, perfect for full body harnesses. The rope is super soft on the skin and seems fairly hardy. I’ve made many different and intricate body harness and never run out of length when using this rope, which is a big positive, nothing worse than getting 3/4 of the way through a harness and realizing you have no rope left to work with.

The rope can be found here at MEO for 19,90 € (£16.98 – $21.35).

Logistics, ties and safety.

If you only want to carry out simple ties to keep the hook in place, I seriously suggest taking up the offer of 3 meters of rope when buying the Hook. Having more rope that you need gets irritating pretty fast – it takes longer to do even the simplest of ties because you still have to pull all those meters of rope through each time. It gets in the way if you have loads left over and you don’t want to be accidentally leaning on or tripping over rope that’s attached to somebody else, especially when there’s an anal hook involved.

Please make sure you have a pair of body safe scissors to hand in case the person you’re tying needs to be released urgently.

Fantasies and hot stuff.

This hook has done wonders for our D/s dynamic, it’s allowed me to create some great predicament play scenarios, leaving my sub emotionally and physically overwhelmed in the most fantastically bittersweet ways.

Instead of incorporating the hook into a rope body harness to keep it in place sometimes I will tie it to a hook in the ceiling. I make sure to tie it while he’s wearing the hook and make him stand on his tiptoes, I tie the rope tight so there’s not quite enough slack for him to stand normally (I always keep a hop-up nearby and a pair of scissors just in case). Then I go about the deliciously sadistic task of teasing him all over, trailing tickly barely there kisses and fingertips over his skin. Edging him, making him swoon, watching as his legs shake and threaten to give in on him.

Using a hook above my bed I can create a similar predicament but with him being allowed to sit upright on the bed (same limited wriggle room scenario). Then I lay back out of reach. Touch myself, use various toys, ask him if he wants to play, laugh at his feeble attempts to reach me. Even getting as far as begging him to come play with me, asking him why he won’t  touch me, wishing out loud that I had a cock inside of me. It’s crazy what such a display will do to my partner and satisfying in the most sweetly sadistic way.

Other idea’s that I’ve yet to try include tying the rope to a subs hair so they have very limited movement without simultaneously yanking their hair and the hook.

So, a winning combination?

For me this is a winning combo, for those who can’t be arsed with the faff of fancy rope work, just buying the Anal hook with the additional 3 meters of rope is probably the way to go. Either way I hope this post has given you enough insight to decide if using an anal hook during your play would be tantalizing or terrifying. Whatever you decide, good luck!

**This item was sent to me for review by MEO. Not all of the products on the MEO site are body-safe and I feel duty-bound to remind you to only buy products (intended for internal use) that are made of body-safe materials and have flared bases if the intention is to use them anally. **
