Who the hell is Echo?

Great question, well, the short answer is… me.

I am a twenty-something-year-old anxiety-fueled hermit and a queer as hell gender-nope  (yes I’m non-binary, thats right… I EXIST!). They/them pronouns preferred, she/her totally tolerated.

I can often be found either curled up with a good book and an entire tub of Ben and Jerrys or bouncing around sporting a strap-on and wielding a whip. I consider myself a playful switch who’s equal parts cute and cruel, my inventiveness for quirky sex knows no bounds (but it probably should).

I am highly dyslexic. If you don’t find the occasional grammatical/spelling error cute or endearing please exit using the cross at the top right hand side of your tab.

I am also the kind of person who cringes at the idea of writing an ‘About me page’, so yeaaaaah… I’ll be keeping this short and never visiting this again!

What is this place?

This is my blog – I founded it primarily to review my ever-growing mountain of sex toys but I also have a few things to say now and then and wanted a safe space to do so. If you don’t know much about sex toys please check out my post on sex toy materials, because frankly theres some fucking shady shit out there that you DO NOT want near your genitals. Trust me. If you are interested in trying pegging for the first time but have some reservations, my guide on pegging could help you (peggies/peggers from Reddit seem to love it).

I occasionally write about my kinks/fantasies in the form of random musings or admissions of my experiences and journeys (weakness, tragedy and all). I often mention my partner, whom I am in a committed and monogamous relationship with (for the first time in my life). He reviews stuff here at the blog too or at least allows me to shove things in him so I can write about it later. Since you are probably sad enough to read this, I love you, you weirdo.

I feel very much that this blog and the pen-name Echo is not just an extension of who I am but a portrayal of who I wish I could be out in the real world. The kind of person who chats openly about their non-binary status and their general queerness. I would love to talk as passionately in real life about choosing safe sex toy materials as I do here on the blog. Most of all I just want to openly share my joy and passion for sex, masturbation and all the other fun stuff that goes along with it.

For now this anxiety suffering hermit isn’t ready for all that. So here’s my blog, Echo Explores or Exploring Echo as I’ve affectionately begun to think of it. If the direction or target audience feels a little all over the place, it might be helpful to remember that I AM a little ‘all over the place’. I’m fluid, ever-changing and my target audience is anybody.
